Biden accepts Putin won't utilize atomic weapons on Ukraine

President Joe Biden said he doesn't really accept that that Russian President Vladimir Putin would utilize a strategic atomic weapon on Ukraine.

"The general purpose I was making was it could prompt simply a terrible result. Furthermore, not on the grounds that anyone plans to transform it into a universal conflict or anything, yet when you utilize an atomic weapon, the slip-ups that can be made, the errors, who can say for sure what might occur," Biden proceeded.

Biden was questioned on whether he thought Putin was a rational actor and made it clear that he thought Putin was “a rational actor who miscalculated significantly.”

“I think he thought he was going to be welcomed with open arms, that this was the home of Mother Russia in Kyiv, and that where he was going to be welcomed, and I think he just totally miscalculated,” Biden said.

Biden said he has "no intention" of meeting with Putin at the G20 occurring one month from now in Indonesia.

"He's acted mercilessly, he's acted fiercely. I believe he's serious atrocities. Thus I don't, I see no reasoning to meet with him currently," said Biden.

"In any case, look, he's acted fiercely, he's acted ruthlessly. I believe he's serious atrocities," Biden proceeded. "I see no reasoning to meet with him now."
