Lucknow Super Giants are set to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday and will aim to renew the rivalry between the two teams. LSG are being led by KL Rahul while star South Africa batter Aiden Markram is going to lead SRH tonight.
Markram – who was appointed the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of IPL 2023 – missed the opening game of his team due to national duties. He has now joined his team now and will be aiming to start on a winning note.
Lucknow Super Giants have played two games in the IPL 2023. They won the first match at home against Delhi Capitals but lost the next one against Chennai Super Kings, in the latter’s backyard.
Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, suffered a big defeat against Rajasthan Royals in their first match of the season. SRH badly missed their skipper and batting mainstay Markram – who has done well for the side in the past.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have played against Lucknow Super Giants only once in the previous season. KL Rahul and his band came out victorious by 12 runs in that game. Markram failed to score big back then but he will be aiming to make is mark this time around.
LSG vs SRH IPL 2023 Match Venue
Match number nine of IPL 2023 between LSG and SRH will be played at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. Ekana is the home ground of LSG. LSG vs SRH IPL 2023 Match 9 will begin at 7:30 PM at the iconic stadium located in the capital city of Uttar Pradesh.
This year, BCCI has picked up 12 venues to host IPL 2023 matches instead of ten. With the home and away concept back in this edition, the ten venues became the obvious choice but the IPL Governing Council added two more venues to expand the reach of the premier domestic competition.
Guwahati and Dharamsala are the other two venues where a few IPL 2023 matches will be held. Guwahati is the second home of Rajasthan Royals while Punjab Kings will play some of their home games in Dharamsala.
