SRH vs DC: Who Said What

Aiden Markram (SRH Captain): Not good with the bat. Not enough intent, not excited to win a game of cricket, unfortunately. We have to go back and see how we can be free and be better. Tonight we lacked intent, unfortunately we are letting us down because of a lack of intent.

I would love to do that to be honest, something I quite enjoy doing, guys need to work hard [on motivating the team]. Incredibly proud of them, kept it pretty simple and used the conditions really well. Our bowling does not deserve to be on the losing side but a small bit of positivity I suppose.”

David Warner (DC Captain): “Thanks to Hyderabad crowd for all the support. Thankfully my hair can only get white from here. Excellent bowling by Mukesh at the end, they’ve been our rock. These two are experienced bowlers, they are never going to let you down.

(on Ishant) From day one, he was telling me he was ready. Unfortunately, he was sick few games before but credit to him. We will have to move forward from here and hopefully, we can make it three in a row. We’ve got back-to-back games against SRH, hence have to start again.”

Axar Patel (DC) (Player of the Match): “Bowling was important, but batting was much more important today. I was drinking coffee and had to rush to batting after we lost three wickets in an over. Me and Pandey took time and gave us a chance to score valuable runs on a slow pitch.

Me and Kuldeep knew we could trap batters in the pitch and the plan worked. I think the wicket of Mayank was much more satisfying. We will have to make our house bigger to accommodate all my trophies.”
