Rajasthan Royals will look to make the most out of the home advantage as they will have an opportunity to go level on points with table-toppers Chennai Super Kings (10 points). RR already got better off the MS Dhoni-led side earlier in the season with a win at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.
That win meant last year’s runners-ups have now won their last two games against CSK, who lead the overall head-to-head 15-12 as this will be the 28th encounter between the sides. CSK, however, have the winning momentum on their side as they won their last three games since the defeat to RR at home.

RR vs CHE pitch report
The Sawai Mansingh Stadium has been known to produce some competitive wickets in the IPL, but not many matches have been high-scoring at the venue with the average score batting first in IPL being 158.
The IPL record at the venue shows that teams batting second have had the most success, but the recent games, including RR’s defeat to LSG, have seen teams chasing to cross the line in a run chase. In the season opener, RR restricted LSG to 154, but could only reach 144 in response.
