In reply, PBKS kept on losing wickets in regular intervals and could only manage 150 runs as they got bundled out in 18.2 overs.

Sam Curran (PBKS Captain): “I thought we bowled well as a group. Credit to Faf and Virat for the way they played, but I think we didn’t let them get away, but we were not good enough with the bat. They bowled well, we kept on loosing too many wickets, a couple of run-outs as well. The rain was a factor as well. The wicket was good today, we’ll probably look back at a couple of dismissals and regret, but we’ll come back on Saturday.”
Virat Kohli (RCB Captain): “This result doesn’t make us invincible and the table can’t define your mood. We just need to maintain our processes and stay in our plan. It wasn’t easy to get the ball away and Faf batted excellently. After over seven or eight, it got tougher as the pitch had lack of water. We tried to maximize the last few overs and we felt the score was good enough.
I told my team to keep their heads high and wanted to get wickets here. We knew the score was more than enough. I wanted the bowlers to have the confidence. (On his talk at the break)
We have continued with the plan and our fielding was excellent as well. As long as we don’t hold back, we are doing good.”
Mohammed Siraj (Player of the Match): “I wanted to bowl more full as I wanted to get more wickets in the powerplay. The lockdown was very important. I was down and out before but worked very hard during lockdown, worked in gym to get back and shine. I have a good rhythm and decent confidence.
(on Fielding) “I am a good fielder (chuckles), I miss sometimes but overall I have tried to improve myself. Never want to miss out because of my fielding and hence I have worked to do better.”
