RCB’s comprehensive win over Delhi Capitals failed to gain momentum as they were beaten by Chennai Super Kings at home. Punjab, on the other hand, secured a crucial win over Lucknow Super Giants to break a two-game losing run.

PBKS vs RCB: 4 Players Who Can Score the Most Runs in the Match
Here are the four names who can be the highest run-scorers in the match between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Faf du Plessis (RCB): RCB captain led from the front in the last match and scored 62 runs with the bat. The Proteas batter has been in terrific form and has already amassed 259 runs this season, as he holds the Orange Cap for now.
Du Plessis looks buoyant and confident, and his added responsibility as captain has produced the best for him with the bat. The former CSK player would be keen to make a mark against Punjab and can be among the top scorers in the match.
Glenn Maxwell (RCB): Glenn Maxwell has looked in immense touch in the last few games. The Australian scored 76 runs off just 36 balls in the CSK match and hit 8 gigantic sixes in that.
Before that, he racked up 59 off just 29 balls against LSG and another valuable 24 runs against DC. He seems to have found his devastating form and that can only mean good news for RCB. In a pitch such as Mohali, the bounce will suit and Maxwell can back himself to score big again.
Matthew Short (PBKS): Matthew Short has been a worthy replacement for Punjab Kings. He replaced Jonny Bairstow and so far has lived up to the billing. The Australian has scored 71 runs in 3 matches, and will be aiming to score big again.
He has got two decent starts but a big score hasn’t arrived yet. And the 27-year-old may cash on against RCB in the next match and perhaps get his first half-century and beyond that.
Prabhsimran Singh (PBKS): Prabhsimran Singh made a superb start to his IPL 2023 campaign. But apart from the 60 that he scored against Rajasthan Royals, the batter has managed only 27 runs in the other 4 innings.
He is still being allotted as an Impact Player but this RCB match may well be the final chance for him to showcase his form. The explosive batter will be playing in his homeground in Mohali, which is an advantage, and he has to score big.
