IPL 2023 Final: Fan Chaos outside Narendra Modi stadium amid utter mismanagement for Tickets- Watch

The Qualifier 2 match will be played on Friday between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians. The winner of the match will then meet Chennai Super Kings in the final on Sunday (May 28).

The tickets for the two Ahmedabad matches have already been released online and fans have managed to buy the tickets from online portals. But the fans require to go to the stadium to collect the tickets, and Ahmedabad saw utter mismanagement from BCCI and Gujarat Cricket Association to manage the queue and crowd.

On Friday, a fan shared a horrific video showing the conditions outside the Narendra Modi Stadium. The video shared on Twitter showed hundreds of fans outside the stadium and it almost created a stampede-like situation. As fans tried to enter the stadium gate to collect the tickets, the queue never maintained an organised line which created chaos.

Only a handful of police personnel was seen in the clip who were struggling to maintain order outside the stadium. Few people also fell over but was rescued soon before any further damage could occur. People present in the queue were traumatised and were seen screaming and crying in fear and agony.

‘Are IPL Tickets more important than our lives?’ the caption of the video wrote. Although there is no news of any life loss or injury, but this easily could lead to a grave situation.
