LSG rode on fifties from Marcus Stoinis (73 off 40 balls) and Kyle Mayers (54 off 24 balls) to surpass the previous highest total of the season posted by Chennai Super Kings. LSG posted a mammoth 257/5, the second highest total in IPL history.
CSK had registered the highest total in IPL 2023 during match 33 against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday (April 23). This was the highest total in Kolkata in IPL.
CSK rode on fifties from Devon Conway (56 off 40 balls), Ajinkya Rahane (71 not out off 29 balls) and Shivam Dube (50 off 21 balls) to set a total of 235 for 4 in the allotted 20 overs. CSK’s innings included 18 sixes, the most for a single innings this season.

KKR fell short of the target by 49 runs despite fighting knocks from Jason Roy (61 off 26 balls) and Rinku Singh (53 not out off 33 balls). The Kolkata-based side’s innings included 12 sixes.
Sunrisers Hyderabad posted the third highest total also against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens, where they rode on Harry Brook hundred to post a total of 228 for 4 in 20 overs. In response, KKR scored 205 for 7, losing the contest by 23 runs.
CSK in fact have gone past 200 at least three times so far and also hold the fourth highest total in the 16th season thanks to their 226 for 6 against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB, in response, came very close, but managed only 218 for 8.
