The Gujarat Titans pacer then got rid of Marcus Stoinis on the next delivery after a brilliant catch by David Miller in the deep. The next two deliveries saw Lucknow lose two more wickets on run outs to make it four in a row.
A dot ball on the final delivery saw visitors and defending champions Gujarat Titans win the match by seven runs. Mohit bowled three overs for 17 runs and two wickets to add more flavour to his stunning comeback story.
Notably, the India pacer played his first IPL match after the 2021 season on April 13 against Punjab Kings. Last year he spent time with GT as a net bowler. Mohit, who was featured in the 2015 World Cup for India, picked two wickets for 18 runs against Punjab and was adjudged Man of the Match.
Mohit, who last represented India in 2015, has now four wickets to his name in three IPL 2023 at an average of 10.50 and an economy rate of 4.66. Fans has hailed the experienced campaigner for spic comeback and redemption.
